Addressing Poor Performance (APP)

Just one employee with a chronic performance problem can deflate the productivity and morale of an entire team. It can dominate a leader’s time, leading to frustration and stress. And, if left unchecked, it can damage the mission of your organization. By “chronic,” we’re referring to performance that remains below standard despite one or two coaching for improvement sessions conducted by the leader.

The Addressing Poor Performance session teaches the skills and techniques that give leaders the confidence to handle these sensitive discussions effectively.

During the interactive Addressing Poor Performance training session, you will learn to:

  • Document and leverage performance data to present a solid case for needed improvement.
  • Use essential interaction skills and coaching techniques to meet personal and practical needs during discussions about poor performance.
  • Identify the steps you need to take after a performance problem discussion to document agreements, provide ongoing feedback and support, and determine if imposing formal consequences will be necessary.

Duration: 1 Day

Communication: Connect Through Conversation (CCTC)

The Communication: Connect Through Conversations session teaches practical skills and techniques that give participants greater confidence in handling both routine and challenging workplace conversations effectively.

During this session, you will learn to:

Conduct conversations that achieve your intended business goals.

Communicate and respond in ways that meet the personal needs of team members and others.
