Kelly Furnas

Chief Learning and Systems Officer

Kelly Furnas is the Chief Learning & Systems Officer at Operation Kindness Humane Society, where she drives the strategy for organizational learning, leadership development, and data-driven systems to strengthen impact across the organization. Since joining Operation Kindness in 2015, Kelly has held multiple senior leadership roles, including Chief Operating Officer, Director of Operations, and Director of Volunteer Services.  

In her current role, Kelly focuses on building high-performing teams, developing leaders at every experience level, and implementing systems and process improvements that enable scalable, sustainable lifesaving. Her work centers on aligning people, data and operations to increase organizational effectiveness and expanding the organization’s reach across Texas.  

Before transitioning to the non-profit sector, Kelly held senior leadership and operations roles in the financial services industry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Texas A&M University. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys time with her pets—her dog Quinn and her cat Smoky a proud Operation Kindness alumni. A dedicated Aggie, she cheers on her team every season and enjoys cooking, even serving as a judge in local cooking competitions.
